The Oceania Renewable Power Summit is a two-day conference and exhibition focused on the deployment of solar, wind and battery technologies across the Oceania region. Key topics include construction and supply chain, market integration, financing, and asset management.
Launched in September 2024, the event brought together delegates from New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Cook Islands, Samoa, Niue, Singapore, Tonga, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nauru, and Vanuatu.
Around 200 delegates representing 118 organisations gathered in Auckland, including leaders, decision-makers, regulators, and technology and service providers. Together, they shared experiences, made new connections, and drove progress forward. A welcome function was held on the eve of the conference, attended by the Mayor of Auckland, the Head of the Chamber of Commerce, and government MPs.
For 2025, we have launched a second stream on day two, focusing on targeted content for the Pacific region.

Insights from Oceania experts
Work is accelerating across the Oceania region to bring more renewable generation online and manage the intermittency challenges in order to meet climate emission reduction goals.
New Zealand has extensive experience in the market and network integration of renewable generation, particularly in a renewables-dominated energy system. Australian operators are highly experienced in the large-scale deployment of solar and wind generation. Pacific island nations have a wealth of knowledge in remote solar installations. Attend to hear from experts in these fields, including operators themselves, as they present and participate in facilitated panel discussions.
A key element of the event will be a technology and engineering exhibition, alongside government-led delegations from the Pacific, in addition to a large Australian and New Zealand audience.
Technology and generation scope:
• SOLAR – Utility-scale
• BATTERIES – Utility-scale
• WIND – Onshore
“A lot of great insights and gained a much better appreciation on the needs of all of Oceania.” “I think the programme organisers captured the issues critical to the sector.” “Informative and inspirational” “Good topics, especially from Pacific Island countries. Good networking” “Clear presentation of electricity authority and regulator roles, innovation technology for affordability and reliability” “Real world experience offering great advice”
