The New Zealand Wind Energy Association (NZWEA) is a membership-based industry organisation supporting wind as a reliable, sustainable, clean, and commercially viable source of energy. Representing the sector to government, the public, and the wider energy industry, NZWEA provides a central platform for information, advocacy, and collaboration on utility-scale wind generation. Through strong partnerships, industry education, and engagement with communities, landowners, and iwi, it works to ensure Aotearoa's world-class onshore and offshore wind resources are developed responsibly and contribute to a secure, affordable, net-zero energy future.
