Tania Palmer

Tania joined Meridian in 2019 and was appointed GM Generation in December 2021, having originally joined as Chief People Officer. Tania has strong experience in the electricity sector, including six years on the Executive Team of Contact Energy.

Tania started her career in the NZ Air Force and has a breadth of experience to share from running her own consulting business, leading projects in the energy, science and research, manufacturing, retail, arts, financial services, non-profit and government sectors. Tania is a graduate of Victoria University.

Tania is passionate about leadership and people development to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to realise their potential. Tania and her team are leading significant transformation within Meridian’s Generation business to digistise operations, grow MW capacity and flexibility and tackle New Zealand’s energy transition challenge.
