Christiaan's work is about facilitating investment in new generation, transmission and energy storage, by improving outcomes for energy businesses.
Currently focused on improving the renewable project investment and development process, as well as longer term reform to ensure market frameworks can provide adequate revenue opportunities for generation and storage.
Delivery of focussed regulatory advice and public/private policy advocacy is a key skill. With a large network across industry, government and energy agencies, I focus on collaboration and supplying the right information when and where it’s needed.
Christiaan has extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to develop policy solutions for a rapidly changing power system and energy market. He has worked on many projects focused on the integration of renewable generation into the power system, as well as how to develop markets for energy and other services.
His long term goal is to see through the transition of the energy sector, to develop a system of high renewable penetration that is stable, reliable and affordable.
